This workshop on the Songs of Milarepa will be taught by returning teacher, Fred Cooper, Ph.D., a close disciple of H.E. Khentin T’ai Situ Rinpoche and will cover View, Meditation, and Conduct according to Mahamudra and Dzogchen, using Songs of Realization of Jetsun Milarepa.
After introducing the View through skillful means, Dr. Cooper will lead the singing in Tibetan of three or four songs of Milarepa, and then will use these to teach the Ultimate View, Meditation, and Conduct.
Dr. Fred Cooper has taught for over 30 years at Kagyu Centers. He is also a theoretical physicist associated with the Santa Fe Institute and LANL. He received transmission in Mahamudra and Dzogchen from his guru Vajradhara as well as from Mingyur Rinpoche and Traleg Rinpoche.
