In the 10th century, on the banks of the Ganges river, Tilopa transmitted to Naropa teachings which, collected as verses, became : The Ganges Mahamudra. This is a foundational text for Mahamudra meditation. It enables the practitioner to experience naked, direct awareness.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Dr. Cooper, a close disciple of Khentin T’ai Situpa,since 1981, has been teaching at Kagyu Centers in the US for over 30 years. He is a theoretical physicist at the SFI and LANL, and has written over 300 published papers in physics journals, as well as taught physics at Harvard, Cornell, Boston University and other universities. He received the complete transmission of the Mahamudra tradition of Tibetan Buddhism from H.E. Tai Situ Rinpoche. He is the President of KSK Buddhist Center in Santa Fe and leads 5 meditation practices each week either live or over zoom.
