Dr. Fred Cooper to Teach on White Tara, Sunday Sept. 9

Dr. Fred Cooper will be teaching on the White Tara Sadhana. He will give lung for those who have not received either the lung or the empowerment.

NOTE: This teaching is open only for those who have taken refuge.

During this teaching, Dr. Cooper will go through the Torma offering, as well as the use of the instruments. He will explain the feast offering as well as the instruments and mudras in detail. He will be using the Jamgon Kongtrul text and various commentaries by Jamgon Kongtrul and Yongey Mingyur Dorje Rinpoche.

This day of teaching will be held at the Herman Rednick Center, 40 Lorien Road, Questa NM.

Schedule:

First session 10 am to noon. Break for pot luck lunch at noon. Second session begins at 2 pm and will finish around 4 pm. Fred is available for interview/questions during lunch and at the end of the teaching.

Fred Cooper, PhD, is a close disciple of H.E. Kenting Tai Situpa and recipient of direct  
Mahamudra Transmissions from H.E. T’ai Situpa, H.E. Kalu Rinpoche and V.V. Mingyur Rinpoche. He has taught for over 20 years at Kagyu Centers in the U.S.  He has been Program Director for Theoretical Physics at the National Science Foundation and is currently associated with the Santa Fe Institute and Los Alamos National Labs. Fred is the President of KSK Buddhist Center in Santa Fe.

Suggested donation: $15 per session or $25 for the day.

No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please donate if you are able, as Fred can then receive a Center donation in gratitude for his kindness and efforts to come to Questa to teach. There is also the opportunity to make personal donations at the conclusion of each teaching.
