Come join us on Saturday, March 2, for a “City Retreat” exploring Simplicity Courage, and Paradox–the three primary elements of the path.
This one-day retreat—close to home and affordable, but still unplugged from busyness—is designed to help us develop continuity of practice by focusing on the building blocks that form the Buddhist path. While participating in the whole program will optimize our time together, it is fine to attend any part, as you are able.
We will begin at the beginning—Simplicity, the foundation stone that grounds spiritual practice. From there, we will look deeply at Courage, which powers our journey, and Paradox—the vision that embraces reality as it is. With traditional approaches presented by Tsongkhapa, Jamgon Kongtrul the Great, and other masters serving as touchstones for our study, we will work on connecting the lineage instructions with the immediacy of our own lives, discovering the vibrancy available to us in these time-tested methods.
Sessions will incorporate both dharma teachings and group meditation periods. Participants are encouraged to take the day to unplug from the distractions and busyness which often predominate, and use the opportunity to listen, contemplate, and meditate, both on and off the cushion.
Private interviews are available for those who seek the additional support.
Suggested donation: $15 for the day. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please donate if you are able, as our teachers can receive a Center donation in gratitude for their kindness and efforts to come to Questa to teach.
