fred cooper offers teaching: friday Jan. 15

First teaching:

Friday, Jan.15, 2021 in two sessions: 10 am-noon and 2-4 pm, via Zoom

Earth Journey and the Herman Rednick Trust on behalf of the sanghas of the Kagyu  Mila Guru Stupa and Kagyu Shenpen Kunchab  will host Dr. Fred Cooper in giving a rare teaching on the outer practice of Green Tara, described as: ZabtikDrolma Mandal ChoGa (Tib. ཟབ་ཏིག་’ོལ་ཆོག), “The Mandala Ritual from The Profound Essence of Tara called the Essence of the two Accumulations”— a practice of Green Tara revealed as a mind terma by Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa and put into Sadhana form by Jamgon Kongtrul. This outer practice of Green Tara is done Sunday mornings at the Stupa at KSK.

Prerequisite: Refuge is required. The reading transmission (also required before studying the text) will be given before the teaching to those who have not received the empowerment from a Lama at 9:30 am. Lama Chopal can give refuge to those who want to take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. The 21 Taras are chanted by all Tibetan children as part of their heritage… but for westerners, a decision should be made that they want to take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha before learning the Green Tara practice.

If you wish to attend , please respond to hilece.r (at) gmail.com by or on Tuesday, January 12. She will confirm all registrants on the 12th and send out the Zoom link, text, and prayers that will be used in the teaching.

There is no charge for this teaching, however, a suggested donation of $20 can be sent via PayPal through the Earth Journey website (earthjourney.org) and/or the KSK website. For personal donations to the teacher, please donate to his PayPal account (that address will be sent out). If you wish to donate by check, please snail mail to the address that will be given to registrants.
