The Introduction to Awareness, by Guru RInpoche

Dr. Fred Cooper will offer the transmission of the text in person at the Herman Rednick Center, 40 Lorien Road, and on Zoom.

We are still observant of covid precautions, therefore if you are ill, have a cough, runny nose, sore throat, or know that you have been exposed to covid, please do not come in person, but join the teaching via zoom. Please bring a bag lunch, though a pot of rice will be available as well. You are welcome to wear a mask or not.

SCHEDULE:

10 am – Noon

LUNCH BREAK

1:30-4:30 pm

The morning session will be on the 7 Line Prayer to Guru Rinpoche and a short Sadhana of Yeshe Tsogyal.

The afternoon session will be on the particular Text-Introduction to awareness.

Suggested donation is $15/session or $25 for the day. Noone turned away for lack of funds. Traditionally one also offers a donation to the teacher at the end of the teaching.

Prof. Cooper has received extensive Mahamdra and Dzogchen teachings from his Guru
Vajradhara HE Khentin T’ai Situ Rinpoche as well as from VV Mingyur Rinpoche. He has
received these teachings from VV Mingyur Rinpoche. He teaches at various Karma Kagyu
Centers and is the President of KSK Buddhist Center in Santa Fe, as well as being a
theoretical physicist associated with the Santa Fe Institute and Los Alamos National Labs.
