Dr. Fred Cooper is returning to continue to share the teachings on Vipassana.

Following the class he gave in September, in this class Fred will continue to guide us in observing the mind when it is still and when it is moving. In the afternoon, we will practice together following specific guidelines.

To benefit from this teaching and meditation practice, students should have developed a good Calm Abiding and Insight (Shamatha) practice.

This day of teaching will be held at the Herman Rednick Center, 40 Lorien Road, Questa NM.

Fred Cooper, PhD, is a close disciple of H.E. Kenting Tai Situpa and recipient of direct
Mahamudra Transmissions from H.E. T’ai Situpa, H.E. Kalu Rinpoche and V.V. Mingyur Rinpoche. He has taught for over 20 years at Kagyu Centers in the U.S.  He has been Program Director for Theoretical Physics at the National Science Foundation and is currently associated with the Santa Fe Institute and Los Alamos National Labs. Fred is the President of KSK Buddhist Center in Santa Fe.

First session 10 am to noon. Break for pot luck lunch at noon. Second session begins at 2 pm and will finish between 4 and 5 pm. Fred is available for interview/questions during lunch and at the end of the teaching.

Suggested donation: $15 per session or $25 for the day.

No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please donate if you are able, as Fred can then receive a Center donation in gratitude for his kindness and efforts to come to Questa to teach. There is also the opportunity to make personal donations at the conclusion of each teaching.
