THE FOUR HALLMARKS OF BUDDHA’S TEACHINGS
1. All that is composite is impermanent. 2. Everything defiled is suffering. 3. All phenomena are empty. 4. Non-self. Nirvana is peace.

Join us for this Dharma offering, the second of a four-part series bringing fresh encounters with the Buddha in our lived experience. It is not required that you have attended Day 1 but it would be helpful if you listen to the Prajna Sparks podcast 90 on Impermanence.

Sessions are dynamic, with interactive discussion and guided meditation. It will focus on meeting the Buddha through his teachings on suffering, through guided and individual practice centered on Listening, Contemplating, and Meditating, as described in Lama Yeshe’s recent article, “The Practitioners’ Guide” in Buddhadharma magazine, link here, and Prajna Fire’s online journal. Preparatory readings, listenings, and practices are an integral part of the program and will be distributed beforehand. Silence is highly recommended throughout the day between sessions and in practitioners’ homes to nourish contemplation.

This will by an in-person-only retreat, observing COVID precautions, including masking and social distancing. No recordings will be available for this program.

*No group lunch, to hold space for silence and observe pandemic precautions. Please bring your own meal to eat in the sunroom or make alternative plans that best preserve your space of silent practice.
